As we enter this Advent season, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the clients we interact with at CDF Wollongong.
Your ongoing support is deeply valued and appreciated.
On behalf of the entire CDF team, we wish you peace and joy during this special time of preparation and reflection.

End of Year Office Closure
The CDF Wollongong office will be closed over the Christmas and New Year Period:
- Last day of operations for 2024 will be from midday Tuesday, 24 December 2024
- First day of operations for 2025 will be Thursday, 2 January 2025 at 9.00am
To ensure timely processing during the lead up to Christmas, we strongly recommend completing all payments by Friday 20 December.
This will allow sufficient time for transactions to be processed through the banking system ahead of the public holidays and closures.
Quest DPTs – Update and Instructions for Changing Donation Amounts/Terminal Names
The 50 new Donation Point Tap devices sponsored by CDF Wollongong have now been installed in our parish Churches and the initial feedback is positive with the value of cashless donations growing steadily in the first few weeks.
We are looking to review the effectiveness of the devices and potentially sponsor additional devices and/or collection plates in 2025.
The following links are guidelines/instructions to help navigate some functions available when using the Quest DPT devices:
If additional assistance is required please contact the CDF Team.
How to AVOID SCAMS this Holiday Season
Scammers try to exploit our festive moods during the holiday season with tricks like ‘too good to be true’ offers and fake goods and services
- When shopping online, look out for imposter website imitating legitimate businesses
- Book directly with hotels and airlines to avoid travel scams
- Watch out for texts or emails relating to parcel deliveries, scammers sometimes pose as Australia Post
- Don’t click on any links and contact the company directly to confirm payment details
- Scammers send texts or emails to solicit fraudulent donations. If you want to give, find the charity’s contact details and donate directly
If you think you’ve been scammed report it – contact your bank, change your PINs and passwords, additionally report the scam via the Australian Cyber Security Centre website.

Thank you for all your support throughout the year!
