Helping CatholicCare Serve Families and Communities
With financial backing from CDF Wollongong, CatholicCare has expanded its community services, including the opening of the new Early Learning Centre in the Illawarra region. CDF’s tailored financial solutions have equipped CatholicCare with the resources to extend its mission, highlighting CDF’s commitment to empowering Catholic organisations that play a vital role in serving the broader community.
CROSS+GEN: Bridging Generations Through Technology
Students and seniors came together for a unique day of connection and learning, trialling a new program designed to bridge generational gaps through shared technology experiences. Sponsored by CDF Wollongong and run by CatholicCare Wollongong staff, the CROSS+GEN program is a collaboration with Corpus Christi High School, Oak Flats, and Fr Joe Nguyen of All Saints Parish Shellharbour. This initiative fosters intergenerational understanding while helping seniors gain confidence in using technology, guided by the enthusiasm and knowledge of the students.
